High in the Himalayas, brothers share one wife

Found this on AFP:

When Tashi Sangmo was 17 she married a 14-year-old neighbour in a remote Himalayan village in Nepal and, as part of the package, she also agreed to wed his younger brother.
In ancient times, the sons of almost every family in the region of Upper Dolpa would jointly marry one woman but the practice of polyandry is dying out as the region begins to open up to modern life.
"Things are easier this way because everything we have stays in one family. It doesn't get divided among many wives and it is me in charge," said Sangmo, who uses a dialect of Tibetan and was speaking through an interpreter.
"Two brothers bring in the money and it's me who decides what to do with it."
Photo released by www.thegreathimalayatrail.org on September 18. Tashi Sangmo Lama, 31, (2nd L) with 25-year old Pasang Lama (R), one of the two husbands in her polyandrous marriage, and their eight-year-old son Pema (2nd R) taking tea with a relative (L) at their home.

The idea of being in a polyandrous relationship is quite interesting. I don't think it's the same as cuckoldry, maybe similar in certain aspects but not totally the same. I fancy the idea of having more than one man at a time but not brothers.

But polyandry prevents the practice of each generation of a family dividing their holdings, and food supplies just manage to cover the locals' basic needs...

Unlike most men in conservative, predominantly Hindu Nepal, husbands in polyandrous marriages handle domestic duties, helping with cooking and childcare, while women are in charge of the money.
This is the lifestyle I WANT: I manage the finances while my men handle domestic chores. Heaven!

It's Now Illegal to Engage in Cybersex in the Philippines

I got this from Daily Dot:

Randy Filipino Internet users, beware: it’s now illegal to engage in “cybersex.” And that doesn’t just mean sending your sweetheart some suggestive pictures. It apparently outlaws cam models and uploading porn, too.

As part of a sweeping, controversial new law called the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, cybersex—defined as the “lascivious exhibition of sexual organs or sexual activity, with the aid of a computer system, for favor or consideration”—is now a crime.

Anyone found guilty of such behavior faces a fine of up to to a million pesos (U.S. $24,018), and an unspecified amount of prison time. “It does outlaw porn online,” Raissa Robles, the South China Morning Post’s Manila correspondent, told the Daily Dot via Twitter. “Some netizens here r concerned even sending each other explicit pics could violate law.”

Only one senator, Teofisto Guingona III, voted against the bill in January, and wrote on Facebook that the cybersex provision “legislates morality.”

 Here's what the law says:

CHAPTER II SEC. 4. Cybercrime Offenses. — The following acts constitute the offense of cybercrime punishable under this Act:

(c) Content-related Offenses:

(1) Cybersex. — The willful engagement, maintenance, control, or operation, directly or indirectly, of any lascivious exhibition of sexual organs or sexual activity, with the aid of a computer system, for favor or consideration.

I consulted a lawyer and he said that the term " for favor or consideration" in this context means payment or compensation.

I am not selling anything on my blog so I am hoping I am not doing anything illegal. But then again, the law isn't exactly clear on this.

Hypocrisy is popular in this country.

Italian sub sues her Dom

Found this on handbag.com:

An unnamed Italian woman is suing her husband after spending seven years living under a Fifty Shades of Grey-style sexual contract.

The saleswoman from Padua was 24 when she signed a bizarre contract promising total sexual and mental submission to her ‘padrone’ and husband, who is ten years her senior.

She signed a freaking contract! She agreed to submit to him and do everything he wanted her to do!

After their relationship broke down, the woman has been able to use their sexual contract as evidence of physical and emotional abuse during the marriage. The husband, now aged 41, argues that she signed the pact entirely of her own free will and that the activities were always consensual.

It is now up to a prosecutor, Sergio Dini, to decide whether the wife can reasonably claim physical abuse, or whether her accusations should be dismissed on the basis that she signed a contract detailing her husband's extreme tastes in the bedroom.

One would think that Dominants are the ones capable of screwing over their subs, apparently, this isn't always the case. A subs still has the power to ruin a Dominant's life.

Is that contract legal? If it is, maybe he could sue her for breach of contract. I'm just saying...

DIY Time!

I went to the hardware store a few days ago. I saw some wooden planks scattered. I asked the sales clerk if I bought some planks from them, would they cut the planks for me, he said they could do that.

Hmmm... *grin*

If only I had a slave to use it on, I'd be motivated to create it.

Rest in Peace

Rest in peace Michael Clark Duncan. I liked his character in the Green Mile.

Rest in peace

One sub who used to send me email everyday stopped emailing me. He was supposed to come here to work for a couple of years that's why we have been planning things. He sent me emails everyday as part of his task but he just stopped all of a sudden. All the while I was thinking he's an asshole for wasting my time, another wanker, etc. Or maybe he backed out of his contract to work here because he didn't want to leave the country he's in. He didn't have the courtesy to say he can't continue. Then when I heard the news that Michael Clark Duncan died of a heart attack, I realized this sub could also be dead just like Michael. How can a dead man email me if he's dead. They have the same age. RIP.

For the sub who died recently

Back to the Drawing Board

I'm back to the drawing board. I have zero slave applicants/prospects. I guess it's just as well since I need to really sit down and figure out what I really want at this point in my life.

I have been conflicted with the idea of having a part time or temporary slave. I want to have someone for long term or well, permanent.

I should stop settling for less or considering someone who will not be able to give me the attention I need long term.
